How to Make the Most of Your Christmas Experience at Bewl Water

Your festive adventure awaits!

In 2026, Christmas at Bewl Water invites families on Santa's Quest, a brand-new adventure led by Santa's team of merry elves, with every twinkle, laugh and moment of magic carefully crafted to bring the story to life.

Here is how to make the most of your visit and keep the Christmas magic flowing from start to finish.

Arrive on Time to Begin Your Journey

Please arrive five minutes before your booked timeslot. Every group enjoys a personalised, exclusive experience, so late arrivals may be refused entry or miss parts of the Quest. Allow plenty of travel time: we are at Bewl Water, Bewlbridge Lane, Lamberhurst, Kent TN3 8JH, on the Kent and Sussex border just off the A21.

One free parking ticket is included per booking. Remember to add it to your basket at checkout and give the correct vehicle registration, as ANPR is in operation.

Let the Elves Lead the Way

From the moment your Quest begins, you will be guided through an immersive world of live performances, playful panto-style moments and hands-on workshops, from decorating shortbread in Rosemary's Bakery to mixing reindeer food in Prancer's Pantry. Each scene unfolds with the help of Santa's trusted elves, so stay close to your group, join in with the cheer chants and enjoy the story as it comes to life around you.

There will be moments for photos, laughter and plenty of Christmas cheer, all leading to your family's private, personalised visit with Santa.

Give Yourself Time

The Quest itself lasts just under two hours. Afterwards, there is a free-flow area where you can eat, play, explore and shop, so we recommend allowing around three hours for the full experience. You are welcome to stay and play as long as you wish.

Wrap Up Warm

Most of the experience is under cover, but some parts take you outside and not all covered areas are heated, so pop on your cosiest coats, hats and scarves. Woodland paths can occasionally be muddy, so sturdy footwear is a must, and Christmas outfits and costumes are always welcome.

Keep It Simple

You will not need to bring much with you: just your ticket QR codes from your confirmation email and your festive spirit. There are no facilities for storing pushchairs, luggage or large bags, so keep bags light and hands free for little ones and photo moments. Food and drink cannot be brought in, apart from bottled water.

Where to Eat

There are areas to buy refreshments throughout the Quest, and the Candy Land Food Court serves hot and cold drinks plus a range of sweet and savoury food and festive treats. Gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan options are available on request. We are a cashless event and accept most major debit and credit cards.

Don't forget to charge your phone so you are ready to capture those smiles, and remember that official Grotto photographs are available to buy straight after your Santa visit.

Accessibility and Essential Companions

We want everyone to experience the magic. Essential Companion concession tickets are available at 50% off the standard rate. These must be selected when booking, with valid documentation provided in advance, and one Essential Companion ticket can be purchased per booking.

We aim to accommodate most wheelchairs, and we do not run dedicated SEND sessions, but we are committed to making the experience as inclusive as possible. Please email christmas@bewlwater.co.uk before booking to talk through any requirements.
